Citizen Machinery UK Ltd, based in Bushey and Brierley Hill, is a world leading CNC machine tool manufacture supplying the latest CNC mill-turn technology to UK industry. Following a merger in January 2011 the company incorporates staff and resources from the UK machine tool operations of both Citizen (Citizen Machinery UK Ltd, formerly NC Engineering Ltd) and Miyano (Miyano Machinery UK Ltd, formerly Macro Machine Tools Ltd.)

We have been successfully serving UK manufacturing industry since 1974 – now as part of the Citizen group, famous also for its precision watches and electronics. Our products encompass Citizen’s extensive range of high performance Cincom Sliding Head CNC lathes and Miyano FIxed Head CNC lathes.

Officers

Since March 2024 the company has been headed up by CEO/CFO Jon Hart and CTO/COO Craig Geeson.

Jon started his own software engineering business in the late 1990s, working with various companies including Macro CNC Machine Tools. Whilst writing and implementing Macro CNC’s ERP and financial systems, he worked in all areas of the business, gaining valuable experience in every aspect of the Company’s operations. Jon joined Macro CNC in 2002, ultimately being appointed Financial Manager and Company Secretary, also tasked with implementing his ERP system across other European group companies. As a true reflection of Citizen Machinery’s family ethos, he is the son of Macro CNC’s co-founder Mike Hart.

Craig joined CMUK Ltd in 2010 as an Applications Engineer before progressing to Applications Manager and eventually worked his way up to Technical Manager before being appointed to the Board. Craig has 30 years industry experience both with end users and 25 years with Citizen UK.
