What is Eco Function?

Citizen’s ‘eco function’ characterised by the new touchscreen Eco Monitor, this constantly displays machine power consumption in the form of a graph to ensure the machine is running at the peak of efficiency, saving you time and energy.

The Eco Monitor shows the machine power consumption in the form of a graph. The current power consumption is shown on the screen, along with the maximum power consumption value, the power consumption record, the cumulative power consumption, and the power regeneration (generation) status. Working from the I/O screen, these various graph data can be output (in CSV format) to a CF card or network.

The conditions of use of the machine are displayed in the form of graphs. The information displayed includes the ratios of the automatic operation, setup, stopped by alarm, no operation and power OFF statuses, and the ratio of cutting time and non-cutting time. The past 14 records are shown, with units of days, months, years and so on.

When the spindles and feed axes are stopped, for example during editing, the servo turns OFF and the amount of power in the standby status is reduced. Note that the cumulative reduction in the amount of power since installation can be checked on the Eco screen.
