The Alkart Alarm Alert system will monitor Citizen CNC lathes over a Local Area Network connection and inform designated personnel operator of any alarm messages that have appeared. There are two methods of contact – cell phone SMS text message and by email. The system is of interest to companies operating unattended who wish to alert personnel of a machine entering an alarm state. The alarm message is reported in sufficient detail for the recipient to decide on necessary action
Messaging System
The system can handle up to 100 machines; each machine has two methods of alerting (SMS message and email). For each method of alerting you can specify up to 3 contact addresses. Each machine supports up to 3 email contacts, and the system sends 3 text messages for every alarm it detects.
How Does Alkart Alarm Alert Work?
You install the alarm monitor software on one of your PC’s and connect it to a local area network with the other machines. The system then continuously monitors the machines over the network. When the system detects a new alarm, it immediately extracts the alarm description. Stating time and date from the machine and then queues up the message in the main message queue. The system processes each alarm and sends alerts to all specified contact addresses and numbers for the affected machine.
Highly Configurable
Plenty of options are available to help tailor the system to your requirements. Below are the key configuration options:
Ignore workpiece counter full alarm: You can choose to ignore these alarms if you don’t want to receive notifications.
Alarm Scheduling: You can specify a period of the day during which you wish to receive alerts. (over the weekend). For example, to avoid overnight interruptions, you can schedule alerts between 8am and 11pm only.
Set the maximum number of alerts after enabling system: You can limit the number of alerts per machine to manage how often you’re notified. For instance, you can set one alert per machine to reduce call or text costs. Or, if needed, disable this limit to receive all alarms.
Machine monitoring setup: You can enable / disable monitoring on individual machines that you have configured for use with the system
